Activities on Perissa, Santorini
The beach-Perivolos Perissa is the most beautiful and largest beach. Its length is 6 km and has black sand and clear water. Since the beginning of summer is full of tourists who come to swim and enjoy water sports.

Perisa beach offers umbrellas, sunbeds and a net for volleyball. You can also go hiking or jogging along the beach. It is the most popular activity of visitors.

Ancient Thira is a city of historical times the island. Located on the Mesa Vouno to fortified position that dominates the island, at an altitude of 385 m. You can climb to the top of this mountain hiking or riding donkeys. It's a unique experience that every visitor has to live.

The Museum of Minerals and Fossils was founded by the Cultural Association of Thira (Thera) in 2006 and is located in Perissa next to the Temple of the Holy Cross.

In the area there are exposed volcanic rocks and fossils from Santorini volcano. One of the newest museums on the island where you can see exhibits of rare fossils of trees such as palm trees, dating before the eruption.
