Aliki Hotel was built in 1895 and initially belonged to Vangelitsa daughter of George Petrides, a rich captain and benefactor of Symi and then given as a dowry to her daughter, Fotini I. Gennimata, mother of the memorable politician George Gennimata. The name of the great politician has given to the shore where the hotel is located The Alice is an old three-floor neoclassical hotel in Simi located in the port, just 3 meters from the sea.

Hotel Aliki was renovated in 2000 by the current owners, a family originating from Italy and Simi, with plenty of love and respect for the tradition and history of the island. All the above gave to the building an arresting traditional style of Greek neoclassical architecture with strong influence of the Italian fineness. The history of the building, the architecture, the luxury and the friendly owners are what make Aliki a unique hotel in Symi.
