Spilia Village Hotel spreads over 4,000 square meters and the hotel comprises of stone built rooms some of which are suites and one equipped for guests with spesial needs.
All rooms have been named after local districts or named after well known people from the village, such as “Anastasakis suite”, ”Kseropigado”, “Marathokefala” and others. Bathroom with whirlpool (hydro-massage) or air flux (aero-massage) (Except for the room for disabled persons)
The Main building of the hotel, which comprises the Reception area and the breakfast restaurant is contained in the part of the buildings which was previously a factory and later an olive oil processing plant of which the millstones can still be seen decorating various parts of the building.The remaining rooms of the hotel are the restored village houses dating from the 13th - 17th centuries, which still boast their original Venetian arches and exposed wooden ceiling beams.
In the orange orchard you will find swimming pool a peaceful garden and pool bar. There is also an area for receptions, a large parking area and a riding stable with horses and mountain bikes for the use of our guests.
The traditional Taverna “Halara” (a structure dating from the Venitian period) serves style meals which are carefully prepared, such as wild artichokes with young goat from the local area of Afrata, or snails with rosemary and “boureki” (a pie made from courgettes, potato and local cream cheese). Most of the ingredients for our dishes are purchased directly from farmers and growers in the surrounding villages, and the fresh fruits and vegetables are grown locally. ,The area is also famous for its excellent red wine produced from local grapes, and for its extra virgin olive oil which has won international awards for its quality.
The area is ideal for people who like to relax in beautiful surroundings, or who enjoy walking, horse-riding, mountain-biking and swimming at the numerous beautiful beaches close at hand. In the surronding area you can find many places of interest that are well worth a visit: Old churches with unique architectural styles, the Gorge of Deliana, the old town of Chania with its Venitian walls and houses, the old market place and harbour, museums, shops, bars and night life.
