Arkadi Hotel is only 200 metres away from the walls of the old town and the Venetian harbour of Chania. It is an ideal location for guests who want to discover Chania and its region. We are a three star hotel located at Square 1866, one of the most central squares of Chania. Featuring 64 rooms equipped with modern amenities; we pride ourselves on friendly and helpful service.

Arkadi Hotel comprises two 5-storey buildings and features 64 rooms in total. Our Hotel offers two kinds of rooms, single and double rooms. If required, we can add an extra bed in certain double rooms, so as to accommodate three people.

Most of our rooms feature two single beds or one double bed, are spacious, sunny, and stylishly decorated with classical furniture, as well as a balcony overlooking the beautiful city of Hania and its Venetian harbour. We also offer rooms at the back part of the building which may not overlook the town, but guarantee a tranquil and peaceful stay.

All rooms are equipped with a noise-insulated window and door frame that block out all ambient noise.

From the airport
Arkadi Hotel is located at a distance of 14km from the airport of Hania. Taxis are available outside the main gate of the airport and can take you directly to our Hotel for about 20 Euro.

There is an irregular long-distance bus service running during the day from the airport to the centre of the town. Please ask us about the bus routes and timetables, as they are subject to changes throughout the year.

If you wish to rent a car from the airport and find your way to our Hotel on your own, we recommend that you use a map of the town. You can take the following route: Upon exiting the airport, please follow the signs to Hania, and drive down Akrotiriou (Ακρωτηρίου) Avenue that will take you to Eleftheriou Venizelou (Ελευθερίου Βενιζέλου) Street. Then continue driving, until you reach Sof. Venizelou (Σοφ. Βενιζέλου) Square, or Municipal Market (Agora) Square. From there, travel along Hatz. Yiannari (Χατζ. Γιάνναρη) Street, which will lead you to Square 1866, where Arkadi Hotel is located.

From Souda port
After the ship has docked at Souda port, a regular urban transport service (blue buses) will be available in front of your ship every 30 minutes. Take this bus and get off at the final stop, at the centre of the town, namely in front of Sof. Venizelou (Σοφ. Βενιζέλου) Square (the bus fare costs 1.20 Euro). Then, walk along Hatz. Yannari (Χατζ. Γιάνναρη) Street, which will take you to Square 1866 in about 10 minutes. You will see Arkadi Hotel on your left.

Location of Arkadi hotel - 1866 SquareThere are also many taxis waiting outside your ship that would charge you about 7-10 Euro depending on the traffic. Souda port is located at a distance of 8km from the centre of the town.

If you decide to travel from the port to the Hotel by car, we recommend that you first find a map of the town. Follow the signs to the centre of Hania, and drive down Karamanli (Καραμανλή) Avenue that will take you to Nearchou (Νεάρχου) Street. Then, drive along Tzanakaki (Τζανακάκη) Street, Sof. Venizelou (Σοφ. Βενιζέλου) Street, and Hatz. Yannari (Χατζ. Γιάνναρη) Street, which will finally take you to Square 1866. From there, turn to your left at the traffic lights and you will see Arkadi Hotel right in front of you. Public long distance bus service (KTEL)

The distance from Iraklio to Hania is 140km and takes about 2.5 to 3 hours with one intermediate stop at Rethimno. There is a regular, daily bus service operating from Iraklio and Rethimno to Hania, especially during the summer. However, feel free to consult our Hotel reception, as bus timetables are subject to frequent changes. Long distance buses terminate at the centre of the town at Kidonia (Κυδωνία) Street, only 150 metres from Arkadi Hotel.
