OSCAR HOTELS ATHENS, started its business activity in 1977, with its first property, the Oscar Hotel (160 beds), located opposite the Central Rail & Metro Station of Athens (Larisis Station).
Its business goal being quality service and value for money, the Oscar Hotel has followed the dynamic development of Greek tourism in that area, and expanded in 1981 with an additional lounge and a roof garden with swimming pool.
In 1985 the Oscar II (80 beds), located next to the Oscar Hotel , opened and two years later the company acquired a third property, which started operating in 1990 under the name of Oscar Inn after extensive renovations, making it most distinctive for its luxurious equipment and friendly atmosphere.
In 1995 the Oscar Hotel and its annex Oscar II were fully renovated and over the period 1999-2000 new features have been added to the rooms, such as electronic door locks, double glazed windows (as part of the Energy Saving Program), satellite TV and in-house movies.
The roof garden and the main restaurant of the Oscar Hotel were entirely renovated in the summer of 2000 and in the winter of 2000-2001 respectively. They were given the following names: the Dionysus Restaurant and the Apollon Roof Garden.
