Naxos has a daily connection with Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos), once or twice per day. Charter flights from Europe also land at Naxos Airport.
Naxos can also be accessed from Piraeus port in Athens and during middle and high season from Rafina and sometimes Lavrio port. Ferry schedules are being finalized quite late, so island hoppers tend to face problems in keeping an accurate schedule when planning their holiday too early. However, there are many ferries arriving or departing from Naxos on a daily basis during summer and at least one ferry per day during winter.
Being centrally located in Cyclades, Naxos provides easy access to most other Cycladic islands. It usually serves as an intermediate stop to travellers wishing to visit the Small Cyclades and all south, south-eastern islands in Cyclades (Schinoussa, Heraklia, Donoussa, Koufonissi, etc.).
